Back To The Top: Emeli Sandé reclaims No.1 UK album with 'Our Version of Events'

Emeli Sandé has returned to number one on the UK album Chart with Our Version of Events. The singer, who performed at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony last Sunday (August 12), is now on course to overtake Adele as the biggest-selling album of 2012 so far.
Her debut LP is just 26,000 copies behind Adele's 21 - originally released in 2011 - in year-to-date sales. Elsewhere on the chart, Paloma Faith's Fall to Grace climbs three places to number two, while Ed Sheeran, who also appeared at the closing ceremony, rises to number three with +. Amy Macdonald is up 13 places to number four with Life in a Beautiful Light, just ahead of Maroon 5's Overexposed at five. Britain's Got Talent star Ryan O'Shaughnessy scores this week's highest new entry with his self-titled debut, which lands at number nine, followed by Spector at number 12 with Enjoy it While it Lasts. The Spice Girls' Greatest Hits climbs 146 places to number 18, Elbow's The Seldom Seen Kid is up 133 places to number six, and Kate Bush's The Whole Story is up 71 to number 21 after also featuring at the Olympics closing ceremony.
