For The Middle East:Beyonce to release new song as a tribute to Baghdad

BEYONCE will release her new single on World Humanitarian Day as a tribute to the victims of the 2003 bombing in Baghdad, Republic of Iraq. The 30-year-old singer's next track I Was Here will be released on August 19 to mark the special remembrance day. "We all see the headlines and think, 'What can I really do to help?' Beyonce told the United Nations assembly. "World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference." The video clip for the new track will reportedly be a recording of her performance at the United Nations' General Assembly Rooms in New York. Knowles gave a speech in front of a crowd of delegates and politicians as well as special guests Julia Stiles, producer The-Dream and Grammy Award-winning songwriter Diane Warren, who penned the track. World Humanitarian Day was created in 2008 to promote humanitarian efforts around the world and encourage others to do the same
