CONGRATULATIONS: Modern Family star engaged

MODERN Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson is engaged to his lawyer boyfriend Justin Mikita. "It's true, I popped the big Q," Ferguson says in a web video posted on Tie the Knot, a foundation that supports marriage equality. ''I said yes!" Mikita says in the video. “We want our interpersonal relationship to be acknowledged in a union formalised via a wedding ceremony,” Ferguson continues. “But we’re just like millions of Americans who are denied the basic civil rights to marry the person that we love.” Ferguson, 36, and Mikita, 27, have been dating for two years. The pair is expected to attend this weekend's Emmy awards where Ferguson has received his third consecutive nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He plays one half of a married gay couple on Modern Family.
