Princess high: Lady Gaga smokes a joint on stage

SOMETIMES turning your head into a giant flower bed isn't enough. Because when you're Lady Gaga, you're life is a blur of shocking stunts, which can be exhausting. Which is probably why the singer decided to sit down and light one up while on stage in Amsterdam. Gaga extolled the benefits of marijuana to her fans mid gig. "I want you to know it has totally changed my life and I've really cut down on drinking. It has been a totally spiritual experience for me with my music." After a few more puffs she said the drug's leaf symbol was the "new peace sign" and that she was going to talk to Barack Obama about making marijuana legal around the world. "It's like saying everybody needs to take a breath and it's going to be OK." Although the Netherlands has decriminalised cannabis consumption, authorities have in recent years become less tolerant of tourists who come to Amsterdam to get high in cafes. Late last year it proposed a ban on selling cannabis to tourists in coffee shops. Gaga is a huge fan of marijuana and has admitted in past interviews to using it regularly.
