BRITNEY Spears has been spotted without her engagement ring just days after appearing 'out of it' during a commercial shoot. Onlookers reported the X Factor judge seemed 'robotic and out of it' during a shoot for an Elizabeth Arden fragrance. The star was also seen chain smoking during frequent breaks and failed to communicate with the cast or crew for the entire two-day shoot. ''She seemed to be just going through the motions when the camera was rolling, and seemed out of it," a witness told Radar Online. Spears made more waves when she appeared in a Los Angeles court today for a conservatorship hearing - minus her engagement ring and her fiance Jason Trawick. The star wore a peach knee-length top with the sleeves rolled and tan heeled shoes for the formal appearance. She drank a bottle of water as she waited for attorneys to arrive. However, several at the courthouse noticed she was not wearing the 4-carat round Neil Lane diamond given to her last December. Once inside, Judge Reva Goetz ordered the hearing closed to the public. Britney's co-conservator father Jamie was also not present. Lawyer Jeryll Cohen told E! News that the duo's absence is not important as this was just a review hearing and Jamie was out of town. His colleague, Geraldine Wyle, said: "She is doing great." The hearing took just over an hour, and afterward, the talent show judge left through chambers and through the underground parking garage. The next scheduled hearing date is Aug. 31.
